Spring Breakers is now playing everywhere!
these sweet little faces will haunt your dreams
“When I was a kid growing up, these dudes rode around in boom trucks, playing bass— a thudding sound, no words,” [Korine] says, before imitating the low-frequency pulse with his mouth while sitting in Manhattan’s Crosby Street Hotel last week. ”I remember feeling it in my stomach. It was like bombs going off. And I felt the same sensation when I heard [Skrillex’s] music. That was something I was trying to translate to film— this kind of guttural, physical bass. I wanted the theater to shake.”
—Harmony Korine talks to Pitchfork about finding the perfect music for Spring Breakers
Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine just did “the best Reddit AMA ever”, according to Gawker.
Head here at 2PM EST to talk to the Spring Breakers director about making the film, working with the girls, James Franco, or anything else you want.

Any memorable moments from this Spring Breakers project?
I can’t think of one moment but it was a terrific experience. I think it was one of the easiest films I’ve done. The stars aligned. I think it was a risky project. Harmony Korine seems to be a bit of an improvisational director. I remember there wasn’t a strong resemblance between the script and the film. There were a lot of risks taken, but everything seemed to line up. I don’t know if the movie will be unanimously loved, because it was meant to piss of some and endear others, but I loved it.
